From Teacher to Coach…
Fitness has been a part of my life since I was four years old. Growing up playing sports, I learned invaluable lessons — discipline, teamwork, resilience — that shaped who I am today.
I always knew I wanted to coach and help others, but I was told it wasn’t a ‘real job.’ So, I pursued teaching. For six years, I worked as a Health & PE teacher in an all-girls school, leading sports programs and guiding young women through some of the most formative years of their lives.
But life has a way of leading you back to your purpose. After working on my own health for four years, losing 20kg, and transforming not just my body but my mindset, I realised this is where I was meant to be.
Losing a student to mental health in 2023 was the defining moment that pushed me to take the leap. It reminded me why I do what I do — because fitness isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about feeling valued, supported, and empowered to show up for yourself.
HBK Coaching is more than training — it’s a space where you are seen, heard, and understood.
